Hitachi World's First Ultra Thin Full HD LCD, UT42-MX700A, has been awarded ‘Television of the Year’ at the first ever NDTV Tech Life Awards held on 29 April 2009.

NDTV Tech Life Awards 2009 is India’s first ever Gadget Awards aimed to award the best technologies that make a difference in India today. This award is a partnership of NDTV, The Times of India and Quick Heal Technologies, powered by Croma – the electronics mega store. The entire awards process – from the nomination process to the final short listing - was overseen by Ernst & Young who were the process validators.
